Cage Warriors 211: Bellandi and Pereira Headline Rome Return

Cage Warriors returns to Rome on Saturday, October 17th, as CW 211 takes over PalaPellicone in Ostia with a card built around Italian MMA talent. The event streams worldwide on UFC Fight Pass and marks the promotion’s 10th show in Italy.
New main event
Dario “Neanderthal” Bellandi now headlines the card against Brazil’s Aldo “PQD” Pereira after Renato Valente withdrew. The replacement was confirmed by Cage Warriors on October 12, giving Bellandi a short-notice opponent in front of his home crowd.
Bellandi enters at 9–2 and remains focused on fighting his way back into the middleweight title picture. The former Cage Warriors middleweight champion is a proven force in the promotion, combining physical pressure with a grappling-heavy attack. A win in Rome would strengthen his case for another run at the belt.
Pereira also brings a 9–2 record and steps in with the chance to make an immediate impact. The Brazilian’s striking and finishing ability present a different challenge to the original matchup, and defeating Bellandi on Italian soil would be the biggest win of his career.
Italian talent on show
The rest of the card features a broad group of established Italian names and regional prospects. Featherweight Giuseppe Ruggeri faces Sweden’s Alexander Lööf in the co-main event, while Giuseppe Mastrogiacomo returns in another important featherweight contest.
Elsewhere, former UFC fighter Niko Ceraglia is listed among the home fighters competing, along with Danilo Belluardo, Andrea Kabali and Valentino Greco. The preliminary card adds further Italian depth, featuring competitors including Ruben Vinci, Jurgen Koci, Jonathan Rivera, Federico Rotoni, Gabriele Lionetti, Enrico Di Gangi, Simone Patrizi and women’s flyweight Valentina Scatizzi.
With Bellandi’s last-minute main-event opponent now confirmed, CW 211 has a clear storyline: can Italy’s former middleweight champion deliver under pressure at home, or will Pereira spoil the occasion and announce himself as a genuine contender?
